Glenn Maxwell, on the other hand, hammered 56 runs and maintained Australia in contention. India had a glimpse of hope when Jasprit Bumrah got 3 wickets giving just 16 runs, but Jhye Richardson and Pat Cummins kept their composure to send Australia over the mark on the final delivery of the.
3. Australia against India, on the 25th of November, 2018, Sydney. India was victorious by 6 wickets.
All of Australia's batsmen were given starts, but none of them was able to turn them into huge scores. With 4 wickets and giving just 36 runs, Krunal Pandya was the standout. Shikhar Dhawan started well with 41 runs, although it was Virat Kohli who shone with a superb, undefeated 61 runs. As India levelled the series, his smash once again demonstrated his brilliance in a chase.
4. India versus Australia, on the 23rd of November, 2018, Melbourne. There was no outcome.
Australia fought to get rolling in a rain-affected encounter in Melbourne, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed both claiming 2 wickets each. The game, however, had to be cancelled due to heavy rain. All of Australia's batsmen were given starts, but none of them was able to turn them into huge scores. Shikhar Dhawan hit 76 runs off 42 deliveries, but Marcus Stoinis and Adam Zampa claimed two wickets each. India was in contention thanks to Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant, but a bad shot from Rishabh Pant culminated in a four-run loss.
